Redundancy Package. Where redeployment or retraining opportunities are not available, the separation package to be paid to redundant staff is as follows:

Redundancy Package. Employees who are terminated as a result of redundancy for any reason shall be eligible to receive the following entitlements: Notice on Termination All employees under 45 years of age will receive 4 weeks’ notice or pay in lieu. All employees over 45 years of age and with more than 2 years’ service will receive 5 weeks’ notice or pay in lieu. Years of Service All employees will receive payment of 4 weeks for every year of service to a maximum of 80 weeks. For incomplete years the payment will be pro rata on a completed monthly basis. Long Service Leave All accrued and pro rata entitlements. Annual Leave Leisure Hours Payment All calculations will be paid on the relevant “Aggregate Salary” rate. Superannuation Will be paid in accordance with fund entitlements. The status of an employee as a dayworker or shiftworker will be determined according to their pay status at the date of acceptance by “The Company” for the redundancy. A shiftworker transferred to day work in anticipation of redundancy will be entitled to retention of shiftwork rates in accordance with this Agreement. “The Company” will offer a People Support Program to assist all employees with change. This service will be determined by “The Company” in respect to its format, venue, duration and delivery. Where an employee has been formally advised of their redundancy and is working a notice period secures alternative employment; they will be released from their notice period. Their period of notice will be reduced by the time not worked but all other entitlements to redundancy will be paid.
Redundancy Package. 21.7.1 In the event that the City of Joondalup is unable to provide a service that is effective and cost efficient in terms of participating in a competitive tendering market, the following redundancy procedures will occur. Week’s pay means the base rate of pay for the employee concerned.

Redundancy Package i Employees whose position is deemed redundant and are not successfully redeployed shall on termination be, in addition to any payment in lieu of notice, paid a special lump sum redundancy package in full settlement of all employment related claims calculated as follows: - Seven weeks salary for the first full year of service, or pro-rata for those with less than one full year of service. - Three weeks salary for each subsequent year of continuous service. - Plus a pro-rata payment of each completed month of service. - The maximum payment under this policy shall be 90 weeks' pay.

In the event of radical consequences for the legal status of employees, the Social Policy Framework, as detailed in Section 2 of this chapter, shall be applied; it is agreed with the local employees’ organisations whether a Redundancy Package shall be prepared in addition to this.
