REDUCTION IN WORK FORCE. If the work force is reduced due to technological change and employees whose jobs are being eliminated are not entitled to the rights and benefits conferred by Saskatchewan legislation, they will be entitled to the benefits outlined in 12.1 and 12.3.3. If any permanent employee’s job is eliminated because of technological change, the affected employee will be given three months’ notice in writing. In addition, Human Resources, when it becomes aware that any employee’s position will be eliminated because of technological change, will notify the Union and consultation will be initiated. (See 12.3.2)
