Reduction in Professional Staff. When staff reductions among certificated personnel are necessitated by a decrease in enrollment, budgetary restrictions, or phasing out of programs, reductions shall be made first by reverse order of seniority within the area of teacher certification, and then consideration shall be given to academic program needs by subject area or grade level. All certificated personnel terminated for the reasons stated above shall be re-employed in order of system seniority within their area(s) of certification as vacancies occur and consistent with Title 49 of Tennessee Code Annotated.   • Professional Staff A. 1. This Article shall apply to all members of the unit except teaching faculty, librarians, Demonstration Teachers and Demonstration Specialists — A.

  • Professional Status The Superintendent affirms that he is not under contract with any other board of education covering any part or all of the term provided in this contract. Throughout the contract term, he will hold a valid and appropriate certificate to act as a superintendent of schools in the State of Nebraska which he will register and maintain on file in the school district’s central administrative office. This contract shall not be valid and the Board will not compensate the Superintendent for any service performed prior to the date that he registers his certificate.

  • Design Professional The architect or engineer or architectural or engineering firm selected by Owner (i) for the design and preparation of Contract Documents governing the construction of a Project, or (ii) for construction contract administration under the Contract Documents, or (iii) for both, all such services and the scope thereof to be set forth in the Design Professional Contract. The Design Professional is not an employee of the Owner but is engaged or retained by it for the purpose of performing design and construction administration services for the project. The term “Design Professional” includes architects, engineers, surveyors, designers, and other consultants retained by the Design Professional.

  • REDUCTION IN STAFF 15.1 Procedure According to provisions of Missouri Statute 168.124, the Board of Education may place on leave of absence as many teachers as necessary because of decrease in enrollment, school district reorganization, or financial conditions. Whenever the Board anticipates a reduction in teaching staff, the superintendent or his/her designee will notify the officials of the Association concerning the anticipated reduction in the teaching staff. A meeting between the Association officials and the superintendent or his/her designee will be scheduled for purposes of discussing the proposed reduction in staff within two weeks (2) following the above notification. Individual teachers will not be contacted prior to the above meeting. In placing teachers on leave, the Board shall be governed by the following provisions:

  • Uniform Cleaning The County agrees to provide for a contract cleaning arrangement whereby pickup service will be available at the Yakima County Department of Corrections. Cleaning shall be authorized for all personnel required to wear uniforms in the course of their employment. The County shall determine the place where such clothing shall be cleaned and make disbursements directly to the contract cleaner(s).

  • Reduction in Hours Any reduction in regularly assigned time shall be considered a layoff under the provisions of this Article.

  • REDUCTION IN FORCE It is understood and agreed that in addition to the above designated and related duties, full-time professional staff shall participate fully in the activities of institutional councils and/or committees.   • WORKFORCE REDUCTION In the event that funding reductions or shortfalls in funding occur in a department or are expected, which may result in layoffs, the department will notify the union and take the following actions:

  • Professional Study Permanent unit members may apply for professional study leave by outlining in writing the plan that is to be followed and the institution to be attended. In addition, a clear statement must be included in the request indicating the need for educational study and the potential value to the District upon completion of such study.
