Red Circling. Employees who, for reasons set out in this Article, are placed in a position having a lower salary range than for their former position, shall retain their salary. If their salary is higher than the range for the position, they shall be red circled until such time as the difference between the maximum for the range and their salary is removed.

Red Circling. 4.3.1 In the event the superintendent transfers a principal or vice principal and such transfer results in an administrative allowance that is less than the allowance the principal or vice principal currently receives, the current allowance shall be maintained until the lower allowance matches or surpasses the current allowance. This shall not apply if the principal or vice principal requests a transfer.
Red Circling. 4.2.1 In the event that the Employer initiates the transfer of a principal or vice-principal and such transfer results in an administrative allowance that is less than the allowance the principal or vice-principal currently receives, the Employer will maintain the higher allowance payment for three (3) school years. For transfers that become effective following commencement of a school year, the higher administrative allowance will be paid for the remainder of that school year and the following three (3) school years. This shall not apply if the principal or vice-principal requests the transfer.
Red Circling. A displaced employee filling a lower rated position under Article 19.03 shall continue to be paid at her current rate of pay until the rate of pay in the new position equals or exceeds it with the exception of displaced employees choosing to bump rather than accepting a vacancy within their own classification, which they are qualified and capable to perform. Such employees shall assume the rate of the position into which they bump.
