Recommending Faculty for Tenure. The Department/School Promotion and Tenure Committee will review the dossier and make a recommendation. This recommendation will be recorded in the place provided on the dossier cover sheet. The Department/School Promotions and Tenure Committee will prepare, for inclusion in the dossier of each candidate, a statement supporting their recommendation. The tenure dossier shall be reviewed by the Department Chairperson or School Director, who will recommend or not recommend the candidate for tenure, in writing and provide justification for any recommendation that is made. All dossiers containing the Chairperson's or Director’s and departmental/school recommendation will be sent forward to the Xxxx of the relevant College or Library Services. The Xxxx will review the dossier and will recommend or not recommend the faculty member for tenure. The recommendation will be in writing and will include a justification of the decision made. Reasons must be given to support both a positive and negative recommendation. The Xxxxxxx and Vice President for Academic Affairs will receive tenure recommendations from all College Deans, Department/School Committees, including those from the Division of Library Services. The Xxxxxxx and Vice President for Academic Affairs will consider all candidates for tenure, and after the dossiers have been reviewed, the Xxxxxxx and Vice President for Academic Affairs shall recommend or not recommend each candidate and provide a written rationale for that decision. Upon completion of this task, the dossiers will be forwarded to the President. The President will review the recommendations of the Xxxxxxx and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Any recommendations forwarded to the President shall become part of the candidate's official personnel file. All actions by the respective Promotions and Tenure Committee, Department Chairperson or School Director, Xxxx, and/or the Xxxxxxx and Vice President for Academic Affairs shall be communicated to the candidate prior to the next level of consideration. (Upon completion of the tenure process, the President will communicate his/her decision to the faculty member.)

  • Criteria for Tenure A. The decision to award tenure to an employee shall be a result of meritorious performance and shall be based on established criteria specified in writing by the University. The decision shall take into account the following:

  • New Member Orientation The Employer will notify the Union of any newly represented temporary employees. The Union will be given the opportunity to have a Union representative speak with the newly represented temporary employees for not more than thirty (30) minutes to provide information about the Union and this Agreement.

  • Responsibility for Following Standards Each Party recognizes a responsibility to follow the standards that may be agreed to between the Parties and to employ characteristics and methods of operation that will not interfere with or impair the service, network or facilities of the other Party or any third parties connected with or involved directly in the network or facilities of the other.

  • Eligibility for Promotion An employee in the classification of Police Officer must have a minimum of five (5) years service in the classification of Lincoln Police Officer as of March 1 of the testing year to be eligible to test for the classification of Sergeant.

  • Responsibility for Evaluation Within each school the Principal will be responsible for the evaluation of employees assigned to that school. Evaluation will be made by the Principal or a qualified administrator. An employee assigned to more than one school will be evaluated by the Principal of the school in which the employee is assigned for the greater amount of time, with input provided by the Principal of the other school. Any Principal or person charged with the responsibility of evaluation of employees may involve other staff and students in the process if acceptable to the certificated teacher being evaluated.

  • Faculty Selection, Supervision, and Evaluation A. Faculty for a dual credit course will be approved and employed by Hill College. The instructor must meet credential requirements of Hill College and minimum requirements as specified by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Each faculty member assigned to teach an academic course will have a master’s degree plus 18 hours in the specific discipline. Technical course instructors will have at least an associate degree and three years of work experience in the related business or industry.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR EMPLOYEES The Contractor shall be responsible for the professional and technical competence of its employees and will select, for work under this Contract, reliable individuals who will perform effectively in the implementation of this Contract, respect the local customs, and conform to a high standard of moral and ethical conduct.

  • Evaluation Cycle: Annual Orientation A) At the start of each school year, the superintendent, principal or designee shall conduct a meeting for Educators and Evaluators focused substantially on educator evaluation. The superintendent, principal or designee shall:

  • Medical Appointment for Pregnant Employees 35.9.1 Up to three decimal seven five (3.75) hours of reasonable time off with pay for each appointment will be granted to pregnant employees for the purpose of attending routine medical appointments.
