Recognition Leave. 25 Recognition leave may be granted as set forth in MCPR 4-30-040(A.4). Grant or 26 no-grant of recognition leave shall be entirely at the Director’s or Director’s designee’s 27 discretion, and shall not be subject to grievance.

Recognition Leave. A. A teacher who completes ten (10) years of active service in one or more schools of the Deaneries shall be entitled to one (1) day of Recognition Leave each school year thereafter, in recognition of loyal service to the Diocese.
Recognition Leave. Employees who are selected to receive formal recognition or an award by a Minnesota Judicial Branch state or district committee may be granted recognition leave. Recognition leave is paid time off in single-day increments not charged to other leave. Recognition leave in single-day increments, up to four (4) days, may be granted to Employees with the approval of their Appointing Authority or through an established district process. The leave shall be used within 12 months of the award date and within the fiscal year. If granted, the Appointing Authority shall provide the Employee with a written memorandum outlining the number of days of recognition leave granted and the Employee’s action(s) that supported the determination. A copy of this memorandum shall be forwarded to the appropriate Human Resources staff for placement in the Employee’s personnel file. The Assignment personnel and the Employee shall diligently work together to schedule recognition leave when the impact on court operations will be minimized.

  • Transition Leave At the Appointing Authority’s discretion an employee under notice of permanent layoff may be granted up to one hundred and sixty (160) hours of paid leave, ending at the date of layoff. Hours of leave may be granted at any time throughout the layoff notice period and shall not be subject to the Application and Reinstatement provision of this Article.

  • ’ Compensation Leave If such determination cannot readily be made and all healthcare leave or annual leave subject to 100% payoff has been applied to the absence, the employee shall be placed on Official Leave until a final determination is made.

  • Graduation Leave It is understood that in the case of secondary or post secondary graduation of self or spouse, son or daughter, one day leave with pay shall be granted. Two (2) days leave with pay shall be granted where travel arrangements necessitate such absence from school.

  • Education Leave (a) If required by the Employer, an employee shall be entitled to leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority and benefits to write examinations to upgrade his or her employment qualifications.

  • Military Leave With Pay Any employee who shall be a member of the National Guard, the Naval Militia or any other component of the militia of the state, now or hereafter organized or constituted under state or federal law, or who shall be a member of the Officers Reserve Corps, the Enlisted Reserve Corps, the Naval Reserve, the Marine Corps Reserve or any other reserve component of the military or naval force of the United States, now or hereafter organized or constituted under federal law, shall be entitled to leave of absence from employment without loss of pay, seniority status, efficiency rating, vacation, sick leave or other benefits for all the time when such employee is engaged with such organization or component in training or active service ordered or authorized by proper authority pursuant to law, whether for state or federal purposes, provided that such leave shall not exceed a total of fifteen (15) days in any calendar year and further provided that such leave shall be allowed only in case the required military or naval service is satisfactorily performed, which shall be presumed unless the contrary is established. Such leave shall not be allowed unless the employee 1) returns to his/her position immediately upon being relieved from such military or naval service and not later than the expiration of time herein limited for such leave; or 2) is prevented from so returning by physical or mental disability or other cause not due to such employee’s own fault; or 3) is required by proper authority to continue in such military or naval service beyond the time herein limited for such leave. Any employee who is a member of the armed forces or National Guard and who is called to active duty may be eligible for pay continuation pursuant to the requirements of M.S. §471.975.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).

  • Compensatory Leave At the employee's option, all or part of compensatory leave balances held at the beginning of active military duty may be:

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • Union Leaves Employees on Union Leaves will be treated as provided in Article 18 (Q) while working on Union leave.

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.
