RECIPROCAL PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF INVESTMENTS. The Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and The Government of the Republic of Croatia (hereinafter the "Contracting Parties"); Desiring to promote greater economic cooperation between them, with respect to investment by investors of one Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party; Recognizing that agreement upon the treatment to be accorded to such investment will stimulate the flow of private capital and the economic development of the Contracting Parties; Agreeing that a stable framework for investment will maximize effective utilization of economic resources and improve living standards; Having resolved to conclude the Agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments; Have agreed as follows:
RECIPROCAL PROMOTION AND PROTECTION OF INVESTMENTS. The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (hereinafter referred to as the "Contracting Parties"); Determined to intensify economic cooperation between them for the mutual benefit of both countries on a long-term basis; Motivated by the desire to further promote economic cooperation between them regarding investments made by investors of either Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party; Recognizing that an agreement over the treatment to be granted to such investments will encourage the flow of private capital and increase economic development for both Contracting Parties; Agreeing that a stable framework for investment will maximize the effective utilization of economic resources and improve living standards. Have agreed as follows:

The Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia hereinafter referred to as the "Contracting Party"; Desiring to strengthen economic cooperation between the two States and to create favorable conditions to the investments of investors of a Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party; Recognizing that the reciprocal promotion and protection of investments shall stimulate their investors' business initiatives and increase particularly capital flows and technology transfer between the Contracting Parties in the mutual interests of their economic development: Have agreed as follows:

Desiring to intensify economic cooperation to the mutual benefit of both Contracting Parties; With the intention to create and maintain favorable conditions for investments by investors of one Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party, which include the transfer of capital; Recognizing the need to promote and protect foreign investments with a view to stimulate private business initiative and to favor the economic prosperity of both States; Have agreed as follows:

The Government of the Republic of Chile and the Government of , hereinafter the "Contracting Parties", Desiring to intensify economic cooperation to the mutual benefit of both countries; With the intention to create and maintain favourable conditions for investments by investors of one Contracting Party which implies the transfer of capital in the territory of the other Contracting Party; Recognizing that the reciprocal promotion and protection of such foreign investments favour the economic prosperity of both countries; Have agreed as follows:

The Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Uganda hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Parties, Desiring to strengthen their economic cooperation by creating favourable conditions for investments by investors of one Contracting Party in the territory of the other Contracting Party; Recognising that the encouragement and reciprocal protection of such investments will be conducive to the stimulation of business initiative and will increase prosperity of both Contracting States; Convinced that the promotion and protection of these investments would succeed in stimulating transfers of capital and technology between the two Contracting States in the interest of their economic development, Have agreed as follows:

Agreeing that a stable framework for investment will maximize effective utilization of economic resources and improve living standards. Having resolved to conclude an Agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments. Have agreed as follows:

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Dominican Republic, “the Parties”: I nt e r es t ed i n p romot i n g g r e at x x xxxxxx ic co-ope rat ion amongst themselves, above all in the field of investments made by natural and juridical persons of one Party in the territory of the other Party; Recognising the need to stimulate and protect investments in a manner that will promote economic growth and development of both Parties; Recognising that th e s tr e ngth e n i ng of economic t ies can contr ib ut e to th e well-bei n g of work e r s i n both Part ies an d promote respect for workers’ rights; Ag r eei n g that th ese object ives can be ach ieved wi thout relaxing health, safety and environmental measures of general application; Acknowledging the importance of respect for the sovereignty and laws of the Party within whose territory the investment takes place; Resolved to conclude this Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments.
