Recharacterizations. A contribution that constitutes a recharacterization of a prior IRA or Xxxx XXX contribution for a particular tax year must be made by the deadline for filing the Depositor’s income tax return (including extensions) for such tax year. For these purposes, conversion contributions that cross taxable years are treated as having been made in the earlier taxable year.
