Wage Employees within their classification will progress on the wage grid on completion of the hours as specified in Schedule “A.Hours worked and paid for, and hours not worked and paid for by the Employer and hours not worked and paid for under the Act, Employment Insurance or Weekly Indemnity Plan shall be considered hours worked for the purpose of computing eligibility to progress to the next higher rate within their classification. For the purpose of this provision one year shall equal hours. In no event shall there be any pyramiding of benefits or payments. Shift Premium employees who are required by the Employer to rotate over two or more shifts shall receive a premium of twenty-one cents ($0.21) for each hour worked on the afternoon or evening shifts only. Shift premium will not be paid for any hour in which an employee receives overtime premium and shift premium, and said premium will not form part of the employee’s straight time hourly rate. Weekend Premium Fifteen ($0.15) cents per hour worked weekend premium payable between the start of the shift commencing on or about hours Friday, and the end of the shift ending on or about hours Sunday.
