Common use of RATE OF VACATION PAY Clause in Contracts

RATE OF VACATION PAY. The hourly rate of vacation pay will be the average straight time hourly rate (including incentive earnings and shift premiums) for the first four of the last five weeks prior to the beginning of the vacation period. This hourly rate of vacation pay will be calculated for the first vacation period for an employee and will be used for subsequent vacation periods, if any, during the same calendar year. Employees who qualify for a full week's vacation (and also those who qualify for the additional week or weeks) will receive a week's pay computed as follows:
