Rate of Pay on Appointment from Layoff. When an individual is appointed from a layoff list to a position in the same classification in which the person was previously employed, the person shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff. The employee's previous salary eligibility date, adjusted by the amount of break in service, shall be restored.
