Rate of Overtime Pay. Employees shall receive compensatory time or overtime pay for authorized work performed in excess of forty (40) hours per week, except for the following classifications: 65341 Physician 65343 Physician Specialist 65344 Psychiatric Physician 65371 Psychiatrist Compensatory time for physicians shall be addressed in Article 44, Physicians.
Rate of Overtime Pay. Overtime shall be compensated at the overtime rate of one and one-half times the base hourly rate.

All continuous time worked beyond a standard shift shall be paid at overtime rates even though one or more of the shifts are scheduled. Time worked on Sundays by those employees of the following shops, who have heretofore been similarly paid, shall be paid at overtime rates: Roll Shop Electrical Repair Shop Electrical General Locomotive Repair Shop Pattern Shop Outside Carpenters Car Repair Shop Blacksmith Shop Boiler Shop Pipe Shop Machine Shop Outside Mechanical Foundry Xxxxxxxxx Shop Combustion Utilities Department Shop (not to include those employees on Sunday schedule). Where employees swap shifts to suit their own conve- nience, any hours worked in excess of eight in one day or over forty in one week, occasioned by such swap, shall not be classed as overtime. Any man having worked time he was normally schedul- ed to have off, shall not be required to take other time off in order to avoid payment of overtime. Where a work schedule is changed during the current work week, an employee shall not be required to take time off on a day he was previously scheduled to work in order to avoid payment of overtime. Rate of Overtime Pay. 13.2.1 Overtime, calculated by reference to the employee's normal rate of pay at the rate of time and a half for the first 3 hours and double time thereafter, shall be paid for all time directed to be worked in excess of weekly hours. Provided that an employee shall be paid at the rate of double time for all overtime duty performed between 11 PM on one day and 7 AM on the next day.

Employees with multiple rates of regular hourly pay will be paid overtime based upon the blended rate as established by Fair Labor Standards Act. The blended rate is calculated by adding together the earnings from all applicable hourly pay rates and the total is then divided by the total number of hours worked at all jobs.
