Random. Each year, at least 25% of the drivers will be tested randomly for alcohol concentration levels and 50% of the drivers will be tested for controlled substances. The selection of drivers for random testing shall be scientifically valid to ensure that each driver has an equal chance of being tested each time selections are made.
Random. Employees shall be tested for the use of alcohol and controlled substances on a random, unannounced basis just before, during or after performance of safety-sensitive functions for alcohol or at any time for drugs. Each year, the number of random alcohol tests conducted by the Town may equal as much as 25% of all the safety-sensitive drivers. Random drug tests conducted by the Town may equal as much as 50% of all safety-sensitive drivers.
Random. While on Chesapeake Property, contractors and subcontractors who are engaged in activities which directly affect the safety of others will be subject to random testing at any time with no advance notice.
Random. In accordance with current law, and until adjusted by the legislating authority, 50% of the average number of Washtenaw County Road Commission CDL holders will be tested annually for the specified controlled substances and 25% of that same average number will be tested for alcohol. Each CDL holder shall have an equal chance of being selected at each random selection. Such testing will be performed at random times during a calendar year by a qualified contracted agency which will also conduct the random selection of employees to be tested in accordance with accepted procedures.
Random. The University may randomly select up to ten (10) actively employed employees signatory to this agreement once each month to undergo random drug testing. The date selected each month to conduct this testing will not follow any recognized pattern.
Random. The Sheriff may require any or all of its employees to submit to random testing for illegal drugs or alcohol.
Random. Any employee who tests positive for drugs and/or alcohol pursuant to a random test administered under this policy will be discharged.
Random. All drivers subject to this policy will be required to submit to random, unannounced drug and alcohol testing. The Village will conduct random alcohol tests at a minimum annual percentage rate of 25 percent of the average number of driver positions. The minimum annual percentage rate for random controlled substances testing will be 50 percent of the average number of driver positions. If these rates are subsequently increased or decreased by the FMCSA, the Village will provide all drivers with written notice of the change. The random selection process will be completely objective and anonymous and will utilize a scientifically valid method such as a random number table or a computer-based random number generator matched with drivers' Social Security numbers, payroll identification numbers, or other comparable identifying numbers. The tests will be unannounced and the dates for testing will be reasonably spread throughout the course of the year. All drivers will have an equal chance of being tested at any time, regardless of the number of his/her previous selections. Any driver notified of his/her selection for random alcohol and/or controlled substances testing will be expected to proceed to the test site immediately. If a driver is performing a safety-sensitive function, other than driving, at the time of his/her notification of a random test requirement, he/she will be required to cease performing the safety-sensitive function and proceed to the testing site as soon as possible. However, a driver will only be required to submit to a random alcohol test if the driver is performing a safety-sensitive function, is about to perform a safety-sensitive function, or has just ceased performing a safety- sensitive function.
Random. Conducted throughout the year on a random unannounced basis immediately before, during, or immediately after the driver’s performance of CDL activities. • The procedure used to determine which drivers are subject to random testing in a given year shall ensure that each CDL driver has an equal chance of selection.
Random. All employees are subject to random drug testing. The frequency of random drug testing shall be set at a rate to be determined by the Medical Review Officer. The random selection of the testing dates and personnel to be tested shall be accomplished by the use of a computer program. All employees shall be placed in a common selection pool (by facility). An employee away from work on a day he/she is selected for testing shall be tested during the first work period the employee returns.
