Quality of Renewable Resource Sample Clauses

Quality of Renewable Resource a. Explain the quality of the renewable resource that the Project will rely upon. Provide supporting documentation, such as project-specific resource studies, reports from RETI or the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) that supports resource quality claims and ability for the facility to provide expected generation.

Quality of Renewable Resource. Bottle Rock is in a known geothermal area, located at the Geysers Geothermal Field, and has been in production for several decades. Further, the Project is expected to increase deliveries of RPS-eligible energy through development of additional steam xxxxx. Additional detail is provided in Section II.B of Confidential Appendix A.
The solar resource in the area of the Project is generally considered good for solar energy generation. The solar resource was modeled using a third-party solar modeling application, PVSyst V5.60 (“PVSyst”). PVSyst used meteorological solar resource data from appropriate weather stations, module specifications for a Tier 1 manufacturer and time of day orientation provided by single axis tracking to calculate the average amount of energy expected to be generated by the Project. Not applicable.
Quality of Renewable Resource. The Project is located in a well-known and highly predictable wind resource area. NextEra conducted an independent wind resource evaluation of the Project site using Windlogic and internal models. NextEra’s wind data was supplemented with regional wind data from which NextEra determined the net capacity factor available for the Project area.
The Projects rely on solar energy as the sole renewable resource. The Projects are fueled by diffuse and direct sunlight shining on photovoltaic panels. First Solar has assessed the quality of the solar resource for each Project as follows: Cuyama – Located near in Cuyama, the site has excellent solar radiation characteristics. Lost Hills and Xxxxxxxxx – Located in Lost Hills in Kern County, California, the sites have excellent solar radiation characteristics. These assessments were based on multiple data sources including NREL’s Solar Prospector tool12 as well as First Solar’s own ground-based monitoring stations.
Quality of Renewable Resource. The counterparty employed BEW Engineering who analyzed the solar resource potential. BEW Engineering confirmed that the resource potential adequately supports the Project. Additional information is included in Confidential Appendix A.
Quality of Renewable Resource. The Project is in a well known and highly predictable wind resource area. Multiple wind projects are already operating in the area among them are wind projects located in the Montezuma Hills including: Shiloh I (Iberdrola), Xxxxxx XX (enXco), and High Winds Energy Center (Iberdrola). Additionally, the Montezuma wind project (NextEra) is in the Montezuma Hills and currently under construction.

Quality of Renewable Resource. The Project is located in the Montezuma Hills Wind resource Area, one of four major wind development areas in California. EnXco had a third-party consultant, AWS Truewind, conduct an independent wind resource evaluation for the Xxxxxx XX project that produced favorable results. Multiple wind projects are located in the Montezuma Hills. Operating facilities include: Shiloh I (Iberdrola), Xxxxxx XX (enXco), and High Winds Energy Center (Iberdrola). The Montezuma wind project (NextEra) and Shiloh III Wind Project (enXco) are also in the Montezuma Hills and currently under construction.
Quality of Renewable Resource. The Projects are using well-known and proven biomass technology.
Quality of Renewable Resource. The Project is in a very high solar insolation region. This is supported by current deliveries from the Sempra El Dorado and Copper Mountain 1 solar PV Projects. In addition, the CMS has gathered its own solar insolation data on-site to confirm the solar resource. The solar studies conducted for the Project support the contract capacity factor of 23.1%, producing approximately 303 GWh. The Boulder City energy zone where the Project is located is recognized in the solar industry as ideal for solar generation, having the potential for significant renewable energy production.
