Qualifications for Sabbatical Leave. In order to qualify for Sabbatical Leave, a teacher must be employed for seven (7) years by the Halton Catholic District School Board and must have accumulated at least eighty (80) days of cumulative sick leave credit.

Qualifications for Sabbatical Leave. Full-time tenured unit members are eligible for consideration for sabbatical leaves after completion of twelve (12) consecutive semesters of satisfactory service over a six year period in an academic position in the District.
Qualifications for Sabbatical Leave. 15.16.2.1 Service - A certificated employee is eligible to apply for a one (1) year leave or a one (1) semester leave after seven (7) years of service with the District. Absence from service on a leave granted by the Board of Education shall not constitute a break in service for the establishment of eligibility for a sabbatical leave, but it shall not be counted as one of the seven (7) consecutive years.

  • Sabbatical Leaves 49. Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

  • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • Sabbatical Leave Committee Shall consist of the following:

  • Educational Leave Leave without pay may be granted for educational leave for the duration of actual attendance in an educational program.

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Educational Leave of Absence Leaves of absence may be granted up to six (6) months under the above provisions only if the course would be beneficial to both the University and the employee.

  • Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.
