Qualification Allowances. A Registered Nurse who holds a hospital certificate or graduate certificate shall be paid, in addition to their salary, the following amount as from the first pay period on or after the certification of this Agreement. The application must be in writing with supporting documentation and be relevant to the employee’s current area of practice in order for it to be approved by the Director of Nursing at Linley Clinic. Relevance of practice may be reviewed at the annual staff appraisal if necessary. Only one qualification allowance shall apply for any one employee. This allowance is absorbed for the employees paid over and above the rates as per Schedule A. In the following thebase rate” referred to is that applicable to an employee of Grade 2 Year 2 standing in Schedule A. Hospital/Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) 4.0% of base rate A Registered Nurse who holds a post graduate diploma or a degree (other than a nursing undergraduate degree) shall be paid, in addition to their salary, the following amount: A Post Graduate Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) 6.5% of base rate. A Registered Nurse who holds a Masters or Doctorate, shall be paid, in addition to their salary, the following amount: Masters or Doctorate 7.5% of base rate.

Qualification Allowances. A Registered Nurse who has additional qualification, as described below, is paid, in addition to their salary, a qualification allowance. One qualification allowance is payable for each eligible nursing staff member where demonstrated that the qualification is relevant to their current area of practice.   • Administration Allowances In addition to the foregoing salary, there shall be paid additional allowances in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • - Separation Allowances (a) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of twelve (12) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars.

  • Meal Allowances Employees assigned to be in travel status between the employee's temporary or permanent work station and a field assignment shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of meals including a reasonable gratuity. Employees must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:

  • Shift Allowances (a) An Employee whilst on afternoon or night shift must be paid for such shift 15% more than the Employee’s ordinary rate.

  • Isolation Allowance 3.23.1 An employee whose work requires that they reside at an isolated locality as outlined in clause 3.23.5 or 3.23.6 below, will receive an isolation allowance.

  • Transportation Allowance When an employee is required to travel to the Hospital or to return to her home as a result of reporting to or off work between the hours of hours, (other than reporting to or off work for her regular shift) or at any time while on standby, the Hospital will pay transportation costs either by taxi or by her own vehicle at the rate of thirty-five cents cents) per mile (to a maximum of fourteen dollars or such greater amount as the Hospital may in its discretion determine for each trip between the aforementioned hours. The employee will provide to the Hospital satisfactory proof of payment of such taxi fare.

  • Other Allowances The District shall pay to each teacher appointed by the District to the following positions, the Allowance respectively set forth opposite each such position, namely: Effective September 1, 2008

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • Footwear Allowance The Company will reimburse full-time employees up to fifty ($50.00) dollars per year toward the cost of footwear upon presentation of a receipt. Eligible employees will receive reimbursement for footwear upon completion of six (6) months' service. Once employees have received the footwear allowance, they must wear such footwear during work hours.
