Purpose of Grades. The final course grade should reflect an accurate evaluation of the student’s understanding of course material, cumulative performance on required tasks and assignments, and achievement of intended learning outcomes. The college encourages faculty to provide graded feedback to students throughout each semester so that students can gauge their academic performance and their understanding of course content.
