Common use of Purpose limitation Clause in Contracts

Purpose limitation. Lenovo shall process Controller’s Personal Data as a Processor and strictly in accordance with the documented instructions of Controller (the "Permitted Purpose"), except where otherwise required by Data Protection Law. Lenovo shall not retain, use, or disclose Controller’s Personal Data: (a) for any purpose other than for the specific purpose of performing the Services or as otherwise permitted by law, (b) for a commercial purpose other than providing the Services, or (c) outside the direct business relationship between the Controller and Lenovo.
