Purpose and Protocol. The Employee, Faculty Council and the Employer mutually recognize the importance and value of an Employee review and evaluation process focused on the professional development, effectiveness and improvement of instruction and student services. Each Employee, upon employment, or at the beginning of an instructional period when his/her responsibilities vary appreciably from those previously assigned, whichever is later, will be apprised in writing of the specific terms of his/her responsibilities. Employees will be informed of the specific criteria upon which they will be reviewed or evaluated according to the provisions of this Article. Performance of an Employee’s duties in release time and/or grant assignments shall be reviewed separately from the Employee’s regular duties.
