Public Works Employment Discrimination Act. The CONTRACTOR shall not refuse or deny any person employment in any capacity on the ground of unlawful discrimination, as that term is defined in the Illinois Human Rights Act, nor subject any person to unlawful discrimination in any manner, in connection with the contracting for or the performance of any work or service of any kind, by, for, on behalf of, or for the benefit of the VILLAGE. The CONTRACTOR, subcontractor, nor any person on his or her behalf shall not, in any manner, discriminate against or intimidate any employee hired for the performance of work for the benefit of the VILLAGE on account of race, color, creed, sex, religion, physical or mental handicap unrelated to ability, or national origin; and there may be deducted from the amount payable to the contractor by the VILLAGE, under this contract, a penalty of five dollars for each person for each calendar day during which such person was discriminated against or intimidated in violation of the provisions of this section.

Party shall also ensure, to the full extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, that qualified individuals with disabilities receive equitable access to the services, programs, and activities provided by the Party under this Agreement. Party further agrees to include this provision in all subcontracts.

  • FAIR EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES Pursuant to NRS 338.125, Fair Employment Practices, the following provisions must be included in any contract between CONSULTANT and a public body such as CITY:

  • Non-Discrimination in Employment 9.3.1 CONTRACTOR shall comply with Executive Order 11246, entitled “Equal Employment Opportunity,” as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (Title 41 CFR Part 60).

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Freedom from Discrimination 9.01 The Union, the Employer, and the employees agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee by reason of race, ethnic origin, colour, ancestry, citizenship, place of origin, creed, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, pregnancy, disability, lawful source of income, conviction for an offence for which a pardon has been granted, or union membership or activity or for exercising their rights under the Agreement.
