Public Office Leave. Upon the recommendation of the employee's immediate supervisor and the Superintendent or designee, and subject to the approval of the Board, an employee will be granted leave without pay or benefits for a period not to exceed one (1) year. Extension of such leave may be granted upon reapplication. The employee must show evidence that he/she has been duly elected or appointed to an official public office.
