Common use of PROVISIONS OF LAW AND SEPARABILITY Clause in Contracts

PROVISIONS OF LAW AND SEPARABILITY. The parties agree that this MOU is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws, the City Charter, City ordinances, and any lawful rules and regulations enacted by the Civil Service Commission, Employee Relations Board (XXX), or similar independent commissions of the City. If any Article, part, or provision of this MOU is in conflict or inconsistent with such applicable provisions of Federal, State, local law, or the Charter of the City of Los Angeles, or is otherwise held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, said Article, part, or provision shall be suspended and superseded by such applicable law or regulations and the remainder of this MOU shall not be affected thereby.
