Protective and. The Employer shall provide and pay for all protective devices, clothing and other equipment necessary to properly protect employees from injury and unhealthy conditions. The Employer shall make provisions for the proper cleaning and maintenance of all safety equipment, devices and clothing at no cost to the employees.

Employees whose work requires them to wear protective devices shall be provided with all necessary tools, equipment and protective clothing, including, but not limited to specialized protective clothing required by the Employer for a specific operation. The Employer will issue to every employee Nitrile gloves or their equivalent, as required. The Employer will supply every employee with pocket mask, or its equivalent.

The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer’s expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to with such Lockout and Machine Guarding The Employer shall ensure that all equipment is out and guarded. The shall develop and test procedure and guarding program. All employees who may be at risk will receive training specific to their job. Upon recommendation of the Medical Officer of Health, all employees may take such treatments as the Officer may direct. If the costs of such treatments are not covered by some other sources the cost will be borne by the Employer. If an employee does not take the recommended course of treatment, or to complete it, she shall be placed on an unpaid of absence until such time as the situation is resolved. If an employee does not complete a course of treatment initiated by the any subsequent course of treatment required as a of the same situation shall be undertaken at the employee’s expense. An employee who does not take the recommended course of treatment for verified medical or bona fide religious reasons is entitled to such accommodation as the Employer may direct or, failing that sick leave ifthe credits are available.
