Common use of Protection of the Environment Clause in Contracts

Protection of the Environment. 14.1 The Government and the Contractor recognize that Petroleum Operations will cause some impact on the environment in the Contract Area. Accordingly, in performance of the Contract, the Contractor shall conduct its Petroleum Operations in compliance with all Applicable Laws and notifications on protection of environment and wherever applicable, on conservation of forests and protection of wildlife and obtain the clearances required in accordance with applicable Acts and Rules Regulations, Notifications and Orders issued thereunder including under the Environment Impact Assessment Notification issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Government of India with due regard to concerns with respect to protection of the environment and conservation of natural resources and shall in particular:
