Protection of Improvements. The Purchaser shall to the greatest extent practicable protect from damage all gates, signs, telephone lines, power lines, fences, irrigation ditches, cattle guards, drainage structures, road improvements, and any other improvements or infrastructure within the gross sale area and/or along haul routes. Damages caused by the Purchaser, his, her or its employees or subcontractors, and expenses associated with the repair or replacement of damaged structures and improvements are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser.

Protection of Improvements. (5/2008) Contractor shall notify Forest Service at least 15 days prior to any operations in the vicinity of improvements identified on Contract Area Map. Contractor shall protect such improvements from damage and shall be responsible for their timely restoration if damaged by Contractor's Operations. If relocation or removal of said improvements is necessary to avoid foreseeable damage by Contractor's Operations, work and cost shall be borne by the party listed in the table below. If Contractor is required to move or relocate the improvements, they shall move or relocate the improvements listed in the following table to locations and in a manner as specified in drawings or in specifications attached hereto. Improvements shall be returned to their original locations following Contractor’s Operations. See table below for improvements to be protected.
