Proposed Scope of Work. NTC proposes to continue supporting CUSD as they work to support the district in achieving goals through the Foundational California Induction Collaborative Membership, virtual consultation, and online tool access . FOUNDATIONAL CALIFORNIA INDUCTION COLLABORATIVE MEMBERSHIP As members of the Foundational California Induction Collaborative (CAIC) Clovis Unified School District is invited to participate in twice yearly convenings (locations TBD). CAIC offers an opportunity to connect with other induction programs from across the state, collaborating around program quality, impact, accreditation, and sustainability. The “More Robust” CAIC Membership includes: ● Access to NTC’s Online Tools through Kiano ○ Provides all users with access to mentoring cycle (inquiry-action) tools and reports (individual, roster, and program level analytics) ● Program Quality Survey The NTC Program Quality Survey (PQS) is administered annually in the spring. PQS measures are research-based and externally validated scales where possible, and all measures are evaluated annually using appropriate statistical methods. PQS results support program leaders to communicate with stakeholders about the program, including talking points around the three focus areas: program demographics, program strategies, and program impact. The survey results provide important insight into the experiences of program participants and the alignment of results to your program goals and priorities. The PQS includes: ■ Core PQS administered to teachers, mentors and program leaders ■ Survey administration during pre-set window ■ Program-level reports (scaled and open-ended) if response rate requirements are met (at least 50%) ● One half-day of virtual consultation with NTC to support program implementation. The goal of NTC’s program leadership consultation is to help create aligned systems of teacher development. NTC’s partnership model focuses on collaborative, long-term relationships that build the capacity of program leaders and leadership teams to provide sustainable, high-quality teacher induction. Proposed Scope of Work. Mission Springs Water District desires to be an “Employer of Choice” and understands that compensation and benefits play a significant role in attracting and retaining talent. The District wishes to conduct an objective analysis of the current classification and compensation practices of the Agency; recommend changes that result in equitable, competitive and legally defensible classification and pay practices that will enrich the attraction and retention of qualified individuals as well as enhance opportunities for growth and professional development; evaluate the current employee benefit and compensation plan against local and regional markets, and comparable employers; and provide recommendations for adjustments. Mission Springs Water District (MSWD) employs a variety of individuals in administrative and field roles which vary from General Manager to Customer Service Manager to Field Operations Technicians. Employees are divided into three primary areas of expertise: Water Production and Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Treatment, and Administration with 35 unique job classifications. MSWD supports its 49 employees through training, development and recognition of their individual strengths and talents. The study’s first level of effort is to initially develop an updated and well-structured classification system and classification descriptions for all study positions that are legally compliant (including Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) requirements), internally aligned, reflective of contemporary standards, and accurately descriptive of current roles, responsibilities, duties, and qualifications. The classification analysis process includes orientation and briefing sessions with employees, management, Human Resources, and other stakeholders, as appropriate; the completion of a position description questionnaire by employees; interviews with at least a representative sample of employees in each study classification; and interviews with supervisors and management to address any classification issues. All participating employees will be allocated to an appropriate classification; draft classification descriptions will be developed, and sent back to the District and incumbents for additional feedback and concurrence. Proposed Scope of Work. The proposed TCC project area is bounded by Xxxxxx Avenue to the north, primarily West 61st Street to the south, Western Avenue to the west, Central Avenue to the east, and the 110 Interstate Highway running north-south along the center of the project area. The project area is approximately 3.9 square miles and includes multiple parks and recreational facilities, educational institutions, and health care centers. South Los Angeles is home to a population of over 370,000, and about 22 percent reside within the project area. Based on census tract data for the project area and using the American Community Survey, 29% percent of households are below the poverty level, with over 21,000 households (19%) receiving SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits. All of the project area qualifies as either an SB 535 Disadvantaged Community or an AB 1550 Low-Income Community, and the vast majority qualify under both. The majority of residents are people of color: two-thirds are Hispanic and a quarter are African-American. Seven percent are senior citizens aged 65 or older. Over six percent of households reported owning no vehicle, 30 percent owning one vehicle, and 64 percent owning two or more vehicles. Nearly seven percent of workers in the area walk or bike to work and approximately 14 percent take transit. The Honorable City Council - 3- June 2, 2022 Community Partners has extensive experience working with the target community and will serve as the lead agency for the proposed TCC grant. Community Partners will oversee any awarded TCC grant, including the distribution of resources and associated reporting.
