PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY. The Board and administration recognize the value of a promotional policy that encourages professional growth of personnel within the system. They further recognize that an individual’s qualifications for a particular position leading to educational excellence within our system may, from time to time, dictate the choice of a person from outside our school system. All openings for promotional opportunities shall be posted in all district schools so that qualified personnel may apply and receive consideration. Such notification, when possible, shall not be less than thirty (30) calendar days before the final date when the application must be submitted. The Board of Education will invite the Spencerport Teachers’ Association to select a representative to be included in some of the discussion leading to the selection of building principals.

PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY. VACANCIES AND NEW JOBS OR POSITIONS Notice of a permanent job vacancy, or a new job, or new position in the bargaining unit, which the Board determines shall be filled, shall be posted in manner hereinafter provided.
PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY. Senior Faculty Promotional Opportunity3. After a Part-time Faculty has taught at Xxxxxx College for 12 quarters/terms within the previous five(5) years, the Part-time Faculty member may apply for a promotion to Senior Part-time Faculty. Consideration for the promotion for eligible Part-time Faculty will include administrative needs of the department and division. Upon the approval of the promotion by the College Vice President or designee, the Senior Part-time Faculty will receive an additional salary of $250 per quarter/term regardless of the number of credits during each quarter/term the person is teaching. Senior Part-time Faculty are required to attend and participate in department meetings including assessment discussions and provide mentoring to other Part-time Faculty when assigned by the department coordinator or Xxxx. Senior Part-time Faculty may attend division meetings as non-voting members and may serve on screening committees when no Full-time Faculty member is available to serve. Senior Part-time Faculty who are unable to fulfill their additional duties may be returned to regular Part-time Faculty status upon the approval of the Vice President. Changes effective starting July 1, 2012.
PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY. VACANT POSITION Promotional OpportunitiesVacant Positions are defined as those positions within the COLT bargaining unit which are above the elementary level category (see Appendix C) for each job family. When vacancies occur and are to be filled for any of these job classifications, each such promotional opportunity shall be posted on an individual job by job basis in the geographic area concerned (New Brunswick, Newark or Camden) and in one location on each of the other geographic campuses for a period of five (5) work days. The posting shall be on a form entitled “Promotional Opportunity-Vacant Position” and will include the following information:

The Association president will be sent a copy of the vacancy posting at the start of the posting period. Additionally, upon appointment by the Board of Education, the name, address, telephone number, and assignment of each new administrator will be provided to the Association president.
PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY. The District shall offer the position to those bargaining unit members who meet the minimum qualification for the vacancy, who have received a positive evaluation and the district may offer the position to those bargaining unit members who are currently on probation who meet the minimum qualifications for the vacancy. who have All applicants must submit an application to the Personnel Department. The Personnel Department shall determine whether or not a bargaining unit member meets the minimum qualifications based upon the appropriate job description for the position. In the case of multiple in-house applicants, the District shall offer the position to the bargaining unit members who best meet the needs of the position. The district reserves the right to make the final decision. In the case of two candidates of equal qualifications the district will offer the job to the employee with the greatest District seniority provided the most recent evaluation on file has an overall meets or exceeds standards.

  • Promotional Opportunities Each university shall promote upward mobility of employees by announcing opportunities as they occur. In all cases, it is the employee’s responsibility to make proper application for such positions. If an employee meets the minimum and special qualifications for a position, he/she will be considered.

  • Training Opportunities The requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u ("Section 3"), requiring that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment be given to lower income residents of the project area and agreements for work in connection with the project be awarded to business concerns which are located in, or owned in substantial part by persons residing in, the areas of the project. Borrower agrees to include the following language in all subcontracts executed under this Agreement:

  • Job Opportunities Section 1: Temporary Assignments Unforeseen circumstances may arise on a shift, which would require an Employee to be temporarily assigned to work other than that he would normally perform. Should such circumstances arise, the Company shall first canvass for volunteers from those employees who are able to perform the work. Should there be more volunteers than are needed, the Company shall assign the work to the volunteer with the highest seniority. Should there be no volunteers; the Company shall assign the work to the lowest seniority employee able to perform the work. Temporary Assignments may be filled according to the process set out in this Article for a period of up to forty-five (45) days. Thereafter, the Temporary Assignment will be posted on a plant wide basis and made available to the most senior employee able to perform the work. In the event that the Temporary Assignment is going to exceed forty-five (45) days, and this fact is known at the time the vacancy first becomes available, the Company will post the Temporary Assignment in accordance with Section 2 at the time the Temporary Assignment first becomes available. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a higher paid job, the Employee will receive the higher rate of pay for all hours spent performing the job, if he or she performs the job in excess of two (2) hours per shift. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a lower paid job, his or her rate of pay shall not be reduced. In the event additional temporary assignments are required, the job will be filled in accordance with the process provided above. Subsequent to the completion of a Temporary Assignment, an Employee will be returned to his or her previous position, subject to seniority considerations.

  • Commercial Opportunities 1. The airlines of each Party shall have the right to establish offices in the territory of the other Party for the promotion and sale of air transportation.

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • Interviewing Opportunity A representative of the Union or Xxxxxxx shall be given an opportunity to interview each new Employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for a maximum of thirty (30) minutes during the first month of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new Employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and its responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.
