Common use of Promotion Clause in Contracts

Promotion. Any employee in the bargaining unit receiving a promotion under the provisions of this Agreement shall be moved into the appropriate range and step of the new class to insure a two and a half percent (2.5%) salary increase except that the employee may be placed on the last step of the appropriate range if that is the maximum allowable for that class.

Promotion.
