PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project consists of the acquisition of 40 acres of agricultural land forested wetland. The currently tilled farmland will return to grassland and the site will be managed for wetlands preservation and native wildlife habitat.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project consists of replacing a culvert and application of Asphalt Concrete Intermediate and Surface courses, with the addition of berm material. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project is a resurfacing project with a 3 inch mill and fill of Xxxxxx Street. Work to include spot curb removal and replacement inclusive of adding Pedestrian countdown clocks at 3 intersections, upgrading the curb ramps, new pavement markings and providing video detection and internally illuminated street signs mounted on the mast arms. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project consists of the installation of a central sanitary sewer/transport system for the unsewered area of Carthagena in Xxxxxx Township. The area consists of 92 homes/apartments. This project will remedy the environmental hazard of these failing on site disposal systems discharging into nearby creeks, which ultimately flow into the distressed Grand Lake St. Marys. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project consists of installing a 24-inch storm sewer from the north end of Main Street to the xxxx xxx xx Xxxxx Xxxxxx. Five catch basins will be installed to allow surface water to enter the system. A 20-foot storm sewer easement for placement of the infrastructure will be obtained as part of this project. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project is for resurfacing with bituminous asphalt concrete and will allow the Village to bring these streets into compliance with current Village code, which requires all streets to be paved with a durable, impervious, dust-free surface. The replacement waterline will be a 10" diameter PVC line, which is planned for eventual extension to the Water Treatment Plant to provide a new, more stable, main supply line for the water distribution system. The existing, more fragile, cast iron waterline in this area is susceptible to breaks from the heavier truck and equipment traffic on these two streets. New main line valves will be added to better isolate and redirect water flows to the distribution system as necessary, should a break occur along the other existing 6" supply line. The increase in waterline size should eventually also benefit the Village's fire flows throughout the distribution system. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.

PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project will include planing of the existing asphalt surface, repair of base asphalt pavement, repair concrete curbs, as necessary, adjust castings to grade, asphalt resurfacing and pavement striping. Also included will be the cleaning and regrading of roadside drainage ditches, installation of erosion control measures, replacement of driveway culverts and the replacement of an approximately 200 LF section of failed sanitary sewer. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. This project involves transforming the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Xxxxxx Drive, which is currently unsignalized, into a modern, single-lane roundabout. Completion of this project will provide improved traffic operations; enhance pedestrian/bike safety for students from the nearby school and athletic complexes; and, provide a traffic calming feature that will reduce travel speeds on Jefferson Avenue, a busy 2-lane Urban Minor Arterial carrying over 7,000 vehicles a day, of which over 8% are trucks. The roundabout will improve drainage and a stronger pavement base; provide increased intersection radii to accommodate bus and truck traffic turning movements; construct a multi-use path through the intersection; and, provide ADA standard crosswalks and sidewalks through the intersection. The project will require reconfiguration of the existing pavement geometry to include addition of new pavement, multi-use pathways within the intersection footprint, appropriate drainage, etc. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
PROJECT TYPE; MAJOR COMPONENTS. The project proposed herein involves the decommissioning of the Oakhurst Knolls Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Century Acres Wastewater Treatment Plant and the transport of sanitary effluent currently treated at said wastewater treatment facilities to other, more modern, and better functioning wastewater treatment facilities. The sanitary effluent served currently at the Oakhurst Knolls Wastewater Treatment Plant will be transported to the Darbydale Wastewater Treatment Plant; the sanitary effluent currently served by the Century Acres Wastewater Treatment Plant will be transported to the City of Groveport wastewater collections system. The proposed alternatives, as addressed more fully in several preliminary reports, are deemed to be the most effective and most cost efficient manner by which to address the failed condition of the above referenced wastewater treatment facilities and are needed to address various public health and water quality issues, as addressed fully herein. See engineer's estimate in project application for approved bid items and quantities.
