Except as otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents, the Architect/Engineer shall be a representative of the Owner and the Contractor shall direct all communications, questions and comments on the work and the performance thereof to the Architect/Engineer. Except as otherwise provided, the Architect/Engineer shall have all the authority of the Owner set forth in the Contract Documents. In general, the Architect/Engineer shall have the authority to review the performance of the work, reject work which is defective or otherwise does not comply with the Contract Documents and to order the Contractor to remedy defective work and take such actions which are necessary to make the work conform to the Contract Documents.
