PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. 35.01 The University agrees to xxxxx XXXX employees, at a mutual agreeable time, two (2) mini-conferences, consisting of one-half (1/2) day each, with no loss in pay, to be organized by the Union and Human Resources. The University will contribute up to fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) for each session per year towards the cost of these sessions. Attendance will be taken at these sessions. It is understood that Security Guards who are scheduled to work on the days of the conference will not be able to attend.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that there are two types of professional training and development programs, namely:
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. When an adjunct is required by a college to attend a meeting/orientation/training, the adjunct will be paid a minimum of $100 for each semester (Fall and Spring). This is not intended to diminish payments made to adjuncts for meeting attendance benefits currently in effect at any college. It is not intended to limit the ability of any college to require additional training requirements. Staff Required Training. As a condition of employment and as determined by any College at which the adjunct is employed for the semester, each adjunct faculty member must participate and complete the training and orientation required of other employees at that College. Examples of such training include but are not limited to workplace safety training, sexual harassment and other EEO related training, new hire training and the like. Adjuncts will be notified in writing of the requirements, schedule and completion date for training applicable to the assignment as part of the offer of a teaching contract. So long as notice has been given, an adjunct who refuses or fails to compete this requirement by the completion date without a good reason, may at the discretion of the academic xxxx of the College be considered unqualified to be assigned further course until the requirement is met. MCCS also agrees to provide additional funding to adjunct faculty who provide additional work associated with the development of adjunct courses being transitioned to the Brightspace learning system. MCCS will ask approximately 50 adjuncts to assist with the transition to Brightspace and will pay each adjunct selected $200 for this one-time work. Hiring will begin prior to September 1, 2020. The final number of adjuncts selected, the course or courses developed, the manner of development and the specific adjunct faculty selected will be at the sole discretion of the college president or designee.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. A. The Association and the Office agree that the professional training and development of Unit employees is a matter of great importance.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. The employer may grant leave with or without pay and subject to terms and conditions specified by the employer to enable any employee covered by this Agreement to attend courses of study, seminars or conferences or to undertake specific research on projects considered by the employer to be of benefit to the professional growth and development of the employee and relevant to the work of the employer. The granting of such leave shall be at the sole discretion of the employer. The parties agree that ongoing education is of value to both employer and employee covered by this Agreement. To that end some DHBs have set aside a fund in each financial year. Leave will be provided in accordance with the employer’s policy. Any changes to the policy’s provisions will require consultation with the employees and the PSA.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. Section 17.1 Employees attending training courses required by District policy as a condition of continued employment will be paid at their regular rate for all time in attendance plus any fee.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. ATTORNEY shall ensure that each attorney providing services under this Agreement shall be provided professional training, and ATTORNEY agrees that the compensation to be provided to ATTORNEY includes an amount to defray such training expense. ATTORNEY shall require all attorneys performing services under this Agreement or any subcontract thereto, to obtain ongoing professional training at a level and at a cost which does not fall below minimum professional standards. ATTORNEY shall also be responsible for reasonable professional training of non-attorney professional staff.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. MidCentral DHB shall grant up to eight hours per annum professional development/ study leave to permanent clerical employees to enable the employee to attend approved courses of study, seminars or conferences or to undertake specific research on projects considered by the employer to be of benefit to the professional development of the employee. Such leave must also be of benefit to the organisation and linked to the employee’s Education and Development plan identified as part of MidCentral DHB’s Performance Management Programme. This entitlement will be pro-rated for permanent part-time clerical staff. This entitlement is in addition to compulsory courses such as core skill, CPR etc and will be over and above any clerical specific in-house training programmes currently being developed. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT. Executive shall be entitled to a reasonable number of paid absences for attendance of continuing medical education courses necessary to the fulfillment of medical licensure requirements as well as for participation in academic visitation tutorials or for holding part-time academic appointments to the extent such appointments have been approved in accordance with Section 1(b) of this Agreement.
