PROFESSIONAL PROGRESS. For the duration of this Agreement professional progress and evaluation shall be assessed on the basis of the provisions of the professional development and appraisals program as adopted by the Board of Education on June 11, 1973; subsequently modified by the Board in accordance with law; and, now known as the Professional Development and Evaluation Program (PDEP).

PROFESSIONAL PROGRESS. For the duration of this Agreement professional progress and evaluation shall be assessed on the basis of the provisions of the professional development and appraisals program as adopted by the Board of Education on June 11, 1973; subsequently modified by the Board in accordance with law; and, now known as the Professional Development and Evaluation Program (PDEP). Teachers assigned to less than 1.0 FTE shall attend a proportionate amount of the professional development days annually that are built into the calendar (e.g., a teacher with a 0.5 FTE assignment shall attend three of the six professional development days.) The determination of which days the teacher shall attend shall be made by the teacher’s principal or other supervisor in consultation with the part-time teacher. Any part-time teacher who is directed to attend professional development days beyond the proportionate amount as described above will be compensated on a per diem basis for any such additional time.
PROFESSIONAL PROGRESS. Each administrator may receive up to $850 for professional development activities, including graduate study, seminars, workshops, conferences and the purchase of professional materials. Notice of the intent to claim this expenditure and an estimate of the amount of the expenditure must be received by the Superintendent by March 1 of the current school year.

  • Professional Development Activities Professional development activities are activities initiated by individual faculty members or groups of faculty members and may include attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars which facilitate the following:

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Professional Study Permanent unit members may apply for professional study leave by outlining in writing the plan that is to be followed and the institution to be attended. In addition, a clear statement must be included in the request indicating the need for educational study and the potential value to the District upon completion of such study. (See Appendix A, 4.033)

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The parties’ support the principle of continuing training of teachers, participation by teachers in professional organizations in the areas of their specialization, leaves for work on advanced degrees or special studies, foreign travel and participation in community educational projects.

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.

  • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • Professional Services Bodily injury" or "property damage" arising out of the rendering of or failure to render profes- sional services;

  • Professional Service Consultant agrees that all services and work performed under this agreement will be accomplished in a professional manner, in accordance with the accepted standards of Contractor’s profession.
