Professional Librarian Employees. (a) University Library Committee The parties agree that the University Library Committee as established in Article of the agreement shall remain inactive provided that: the University Librarian shall nominate professional librarian members of the Senate Library Committee according to the practice established in June 1978; and the University Librarian establishes the Library Planning Committee as outlined in the final report dated April and revised May by the Parity Committee, and revised February by the Review Committee which includes a change in name to the Library Forum. Peer Evaluation Committee Duties The Peer Evaluation Committee shall make recommendations to: the University Librarian and the President with regard to appointments, renewal of preliminary appointments and confirmation of appointments of professional librarian employees in accordance with the specific criteria and procedures for these matters established by the Collective Agreement; the Library Rank Promotion Committee with regard to promotions for professional librarian employees in accordance with the specific criteria and procedures established in Article O; the University Librarian concerning career development increments for professional librarian employees in accordance with the criteria and procedures established in Article the University Librarian concerning Achievement Awards to professional librarian employees in accordance with the criteria and procedures established in Article Composition The Peer Evaluation Committee shall be composed of four (4) professional librarians, one (1) of whom shall be designated by the University Librarian and three (3) of whom shall be elected by professional librarian employees and from among professional librarian employees holding confirmed appointments. Provision shall be made for an alternate member designated by the University Librarian and an alternate member elected by and from the professional librarian employees, each of whom shall replace a regular member of the appropriate constituency in the event of that member's unavoidable absence or participation as a candidate or supervisor of a candidate in proceedings of the committee.

  • DNR Employees An employee of the Department of Natural Resources may meet the basic eligibility requirement for participation in the Group Insurance Program based on a combination of seasonal and temporary project employment. Eligibility commences after completion of three (3) years of continuous service in which the basic eligibility requirements are met; continues until the employee completes a year in which the basic eligibility requirements are not met; and commences again after the employee meets or is anticipated to meet the basic eligibility requirements in one (1) year.

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.

  • STUDENTS AND BUSINESS APPRENTICES A student or business apprentice who is present in a Contracting State solely for the purpose of his education or training and who is, or immediately before being so present was, a resident of the other Contracting State, shall be exempt from tax in the first-mentioned State on payments received from outside that first-mentioned State for the purposes of his maintenance, education or training.
