Professional Intervention. If it is determined that a non-tenured certified staff member’s performance is unsatisfactory, a warning will be issued by the superintendent or his/her designee by February 15th. If the individual issued the warning does not remediate the concerns identified within sixty (60) calendar days, the individual may be (1) advised that his/her employment for the following year may not be renewed or (2) he/she may be placed on a more formal Corrective Action Plan for the balance of the current school year and/or for the following school year. In unusual cases, where it is determined that any certified staff member's aberrant behavior warrants immediate action, all warning periods may be eliminated. All employees will be advised as to their employment status for the following school year, in writing, no later than May 15. If there is a circumstance in which a determination cannot be made on or before May 15, a letter will be issued to that effect and the employee’s name may be submitted for renewal to the Board for approval at a later date, if warranted. If performance issues exist for a tenured certified staff member, he/she may be subject to additional professional interventions, including, but not limited to additional formal and informal observations and a Corrective Action Plan. A certified staff member may be subject to professional interventions at any point within the year. If a certified staff member is placed on a Corrective Action Plan, a Corrective Action Team (CAT) will be assembled to design a plan. The CAT will be comprised of a minimum of three (3) of the following individuals:

Professional Intervention. The Sponsor agrees if the staff ever feel the Student is volatile or needs professional intervention, the School has permission to have the Student immediately seen by a Professional. The Sponsor agrees to pay the fees of the Professional, normally $100.00 per session.

At the Board President's discretion, the Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee shall perform the duties assigned to the Behavioral Interventions Committee.

  • PROFESSIONAL AUTONOMY 1. Teachers shall, within the bounds of the prescribed curriculum, and consistent with effective educational practice have individual professional autonomy in determining the methods of instruction, and the planning and presentation of course materials in the classes of pupils to which they are assigned.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Tobacco Use Counseling and Intervention This plan covers smoking cessation programs when prescribed by a physician in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-53 and ACA guidelines. Smoking cessation programs include, but are not limited to, the following: • Smoking cessation counseling must be provided by a physician or upon his or her referral to a qualified licensed practitioner. • Over-the-counter and FDA approved nicotine replacement therapy and/or smoking cessation prescription drugs, prescribed by a physician, and purchased at a pharmacy. See the Summary of Pharmacy Benefits for details on coverage. Vaccinations/Immunizations This plan covers adult and pediatric preventive vaccinations and immunizations in accordance with current guidelines. Our allowance includes the administration and the vaccine. If a covered immunization is provided as part of an office visit, the office visit copayment and deductible (if any) will apply. Travel immunizations are covered to the extent that such immunizations are recommended for adults and children by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The recommendations are subject to change by the CDC. Preventive Screening/Early Detection Services This plan covers preventive screenings based on the ACA guidelines noted above. Preventive screenings include but are not limited to: • mammograms; • pap smears; • prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests; • flexible sigmoidoscopy; • double contrast barium enema; • fecal occult blood tests, screening for gestational diabetes, and human papillomavirus; and • genetic counseling for breast cancer susceptibility gene (BRCA). This plan covers colonoscopies in accordance with R.I. General Laws § 27-18-58. Covered healthcare services include an initial colonoscopy or other medical tests or procedures for colorectal cancer screening and a follow-up colonoscopy if the results of the initial test are abnormal. Contraceptive Methods and Sterilization Procedures for Women This plan covers the following contraceptive services: • FDA approved contraceptive drugs and devices requiring a prescription; • barrier method (cervical cap, diaphragm, or implantable) fitted and supplied during an office visit; and • surgical and sterilization services for women with reproductive capacity, including but not limited to tubal ligation. Breastfeeding Counseling and Equipment This plan covers lactation (breastfeeding) support and counseling during the pregnancy or postpartum period when provided by a licensed lactation counselor. This plan covers manual, electric, or battery operated breast pumps for a female member in conjunction with each birth event.

  • Professionals For projects involving installation or construction services, the Grantee agrees that only licensed professionals will be used to perform services under this Grant Agreement where such services are called for and licensed professionals are required for those services under State law.

  • Professional Day The period set forth in the Professional Day Article.

  • Professional Days Upon prior written application to the College, an Employee may, be granted permission to attend, during time periods when the Employee is responsible for performing duties for the College, educational and professional activities without loss of pay.

  • Professional Liability insurance shall be written with limits no less than $1,000,000 per claim and $1,000,000 policy aggregate limit, as applicable.
