Professional Growth Fund. A. A professional growth fund of $111,858 will be maintained for expenses related to licensed professional participation in educational workshops and meetings and will be increased annually using the previous December’s CPI-W Portland formula.
Professional Growth Fund. 23.1.1 The Employer shall establish a Professional Growth Fund for employees covered by this Agreement. The District will allow unexpended professional growth funds to carry forward into the following fiscal year for approved Association professional growth activities provided that a District purchase order for said group activity is issued no later than August 15.
Professional Growth Fund. The Employer shall establish an annual fund equal to 3.5 times the fourth year maximum of the salary grid as of September 1, 2004, for a Professional Growth Fund. Funds not expended in a given year shall be added to the total the following year. Any deficit in one year shall be taken from the total of the following year. The fund shall be administered by a committee consisting of: the ATA Evergreen Local No. 11 Professional Development Chairperson, or designate; one (1) teacher representative from each of the five (5) zones, selected according to the constitution of the ATA Evergreen Local No. 11; two (2) Grande Yellowhead Regional Division Board members; and, one (1) Education Services Centre administrative representative. Each person in sections (a) and (b) shall have one (1) vote. Each person in sections (c) and (d) shall have two votes. Board Policy “Professional Growth of Teachers” shall only be amended if agreed to by at least seven (7) of the above-named votes.
Professional Growth Fund. The district will budget $2,000 per year per administrator to create a staff development fund to support the professional growth of the administrator and administrative team. $1,000 of this allocation may be used at the individual administrator’s discretion to participate in professional growth activities that align with District Improvement Goals and/or the individual Professional Growth goals set by the administrator. The second $1,000 will be allocated to a joint administrator account that will be used to provide training for the administrative team. The superintendent and curriculum director will work with the Leadership Team and PAW membership to reach consensus regarding the training opportunities that will be planned and funded annually. At the end of the school year, any unspent professional growth dollars allocated to the discretion of an individual administrator, will be moved to the joint administrator account to be used to provide training for the administrative team. The joint administrative training account can not exceed $24,000. The $1,000 per administrator annual allocation to this account will be reduced if this cap is reached and the $1,000 professional growth resource to the individual administrator will continue to be allocated. PAW members may also submit requests to the joint administrator staff development fund to attend workshops and conference opportunities. A committee made-up of the superintendent or designee and two (2) PAW members selected by the PAW Association will reach consensus on whether or not the request will be approved.
