Professional Employees. Professional employees, as defined by FLSA standard, are paid with a predetermined salary each week irrespective of the number of hours worked in a workweek. Hours of work are defined as those hours of the day, days of the week for which the employees are required to fulfill the responsibilities of their professional positions.
