PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION. Nurses may be allowed, but not limited to, twenty-four (24) professional continuing education hours, if requested, and in compliance with the provisions of this section. Professional continuing education is defined as those educational offerings which enhance the clinical skills of the nurse. On an equitable basis, the Hospital may provide paid leave, reimbursement for registration fees, and travel expenses to a registered nurse to attend elective educational programs which qualify for continuing education credits, meet clinical area identified patient care objectives, and are recommended by the Department Manager and approved by the Chief Nurse Officer. PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION. The City also agrees to budget for and to pay for travel and subsistence expenses of Manager for short courses, institutes, and seminars that are necessary or desirable for the good of the City through the Manager’s professional development as approved by the City.
PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION. The City agrees to budget and pay for travel and subsistence expenses of the Interim Manager for short courses, institutes, and seminars that are necessary and/or desirable for the benefit of the City through the Interim Manager’s professional development.
PROFESSIONAL CONTINUING EDUCATION. Any Court employee attending continuing education classes required to maintain certifications shall receive their regular rate of pay for all hours while in attendance in such classes when time spent in training is during regular working hours. Time spent in training outside of regular working hours shall be considered hours of work if the training is required or directed by the Court. In order to qualify for such paid hours the employee must obtain prior authorization from their supervisor.

  • Continuing Education 24.01 The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • Special Education Services 1. The parties agree to uphold the tenets contained within the "Special Education Services: A Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines” document (February 2011) published by the BC Ministry of Education.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Payment of Extraordinary Education Related Expenses Section 5.1. PAYMENT OF EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATION-RELATED EXPENSES. In addition to the amounts determined pursuant to Articles IV and VI of this Agreement, Applicant on an annual basis shall also indemnify and reimburse District for all non-reimbursed costs, certified by the District’s external auditor to have been incurred by the District for extraordinary education-related expenses directly and solely related to the project that are not directly funded in state aid formulas, including expenses for the purchase of portable classrooms and the hiring of additional personnel to accommodate a temporary increase in student enrollment caused directly by such project. Applicant shall have the right to contest the findings of the District’s external auditor pursuant to Section 4.9 above.
