Professional Assignment. A. The professional staff will be given tentative notice in writing of their specific building, specific grade level and specific subject area assignment(s) for the forthcoming year on or before August 1.
Professional Assignment. Members shall be required to perform the following duties at the discretion of the building administrator: supervision of halls, bus loading and campus at both the elementary and secondary level.

The composition of professional duties and responsibilities of Faculty Members will be determined by the appropriate University administrator after collaboration with the Faculty Member and department/division/program leadership. Faculty workloads may be comprised of teaching, service, and scholarly activity. In determining a Faculty Member’s workload, consideration shall include, but is not limited to, the following factors: historical workloads; the missions and goals of academic units; criteria developed for the evaluation of faculty; the level, duration, and mode of delivery of a workload activity; the requirements of externally funded contracts and grants; and whether an activity requires extended contact hours.

Professional Assignment. Wherever used in this Article the term: Teaching faculty shall mean those bargaining unit employees who normally teach as a major part of their professional obligation. Non-teaching faculty shall mean those bargaining unit employees who normally do not teach. The minimum allowed length of class periods, definition of credit hours, class schedule and length will be defined in compliance with SUNY policy 1305. Contact hour shall mean a class period or a practicum period. Course shall mean a program of instruction recorded with the Registrar and designated by a single catalog number. Service, as used herein, shall mean the availability of the employee to properly perform the duties and responsibilities of their professional obligation. Contact Hours Designation of contact hours as class periods or practicum periods for any new course or changes in such designation shall follow procedures established by the College Administration.

  • Instructional Assignment The period of an instructional assignment during an academic year shall not exceed an average of seventy-five (75) days per semester and the period for testing, advisement, and other scheduled assignments shall not exceed an average of ten (10) days per semester. Within each semester, activities referred to above shall be scheduled during contiguous weeks with the exception of spring break, if any.

  • Additional Assignments The Contractor further agrees to, and if applicable, cause each of its employees to, execute, acknowledge, and deliver all applications, specifications, oaths, assignments, and all other instruments which the City might reasonably deem necessary in order to apply for and obtain copyright protection, mask work registration, trademark registration and/or protection, letters patent, or any similar rights in any and all countries and in order to assign and convey to the City, its successors, assigns and nominees, the sole and exclusive right, title, and interest in and to the deliverables. The Contractor’s obligations to execute, acknowledge, and deliver (or cause to be executed, acknowledged, and delivered) instruments or papers such as those described in this Paragraph 38 a., b., and c. shall continue after the termination of this Contract with respect to such deliverables. In the event the City should not seek to obtain copyright protection, mask work registration or patent protection for any of the deliverables, but should desire to keep the same secret, the Contractor agrees to treat the same as Confidential Information under the terms of Paragraph 37 above.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • General Assignment A general assignment by Tenant for the benefit of creditors;

  • SUBCONTRACTS - ASSIGNMENT Contractor shall not subcontract or assign this Agreement, or any part thereof, or interest therein, directly or indirectly, voluntarily or involuntarily, to any person without obtaining the prior written consent by County. Contractor remains legally responsible for the performance of all contract terms including work performed by third parties under subcontracts. Any subcontracting will be subject to all applicable provisions of this Agreement. Contractor shall be held responsible by County for the performance of any subcontractor whether approved by County or not.   • Extra Duty Assignments The Joint Study Committee hereby recommends the following as guidelines for extra duty assignments:

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Contract Assignment You cannot assign this contract to another person nor sublet any part of the premises.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:
