Probation for Newly Hired Employees. a) A newly hired employee in a regular full time position shall serve a probationary period of five (5) months from the date of hiring, during which time he may be discharged at the discretion of the Employer. During the probationary period the employee shall, however, be entitled to all other rights and benefits of this Agreement unless otherwise provided herein, and with the exception of the grievance procedure pertaining to discharge.
