Private Life. Notwithstanding their employment, employees shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or political activities of any employee or the lack thereof shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the professional employment of such employee.
Private Life. The private and personal life of any employee is not within the concern of the BOARD except as it impinges upon his/her ability to do his/her job or upon the reputation of the district.

The Board and the Association agree that the private life of a teacher is his/her own affair unless his/her conduct should adversely affect his/her relationship with students or the discharge of his/her teaching and other school-related activities. If such conduct does exist, the Board agrees to discuss the problem with the Association prior to taking any action in an effort to arrive at a satisfactory solution to the problem.

Teachers shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship and no religious or political activities of any teacher, or the lack thereof, shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination by the Board or the Association with respect to the professional employment of such teacher. However, nothing contained in this Section shall be construed to deprive the Board of any rights it may exercise under the Education Law.
