Common use of Prime Rate Clause in Contracts

Prime Rate. The term "Prime Rate" shall mean the prime rate (or the highest of such prime rate if there is a range of such rates) as published from time to time in the Money Rates column of The Wall Street Journal (the "Index"). If the Index shall remain unpublished for more than thirty (30) days or shall cease to exist, then the Bank shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to select a comparable rate of interest and shall notify the Borrower of such selection.
