Previous Teaching Experience. New hires shall be given credit for acceptable previous teaching experience. Not more than one year of credit may be given for each year (nine to ten months) of prior teaching. Substitute teaching shall not be considered acceptable previous teaching experience.

Previous Teaching Experience. Unit members new to the District will advance one step on the salary schedule for each year of previous K-12 teaching experience to a maximum of five (5) years. Once the employee reaches permanency, additional years of certificated experience credit above the initial 5 years granted upon hire may be awarded. Total previous certificated experience credit not to exceed 10 years. The District will grant years of service above five years with a max of ten years to current DNTA unit members who were on Step 6 of the salary schedule upon their initial hire and who are now permanent employees for the 17-18 school year. The increase will not result in any retroactive salary or change in seniority.
Previous Teaching Experience. Effective September 1, 1977, all previous teaching experience will be recognized for teachers up to a category maximum in Levels A0, A1, A2, A3 and A4. However, only that experience earned while holding an Ontario Teaching Certificate (or Foreign equivalent) will be recognized. This clause is not retroactive. Effective September 1, 2000, continuing education teaching experience involving the delivery of secondary credits will be recognized for placement on the salary grid. No more than 1 year of experience will be granted in a year.
Previous Teaching Experience. At the discretion of the district, applicants with previous teaching or intern experience shall be given full credit for pay purposes for each year’s prior teaching experience. A teacher must have taught at least eight months in no more than two different class assignments in a school year to earn a full year’s credit.

  • Previous Experience 31.01 New employees will be classified according to previous comparable experience for the purpose of establishing wage rates.   • Investment Experience Holder understands that the purchase of this Warrant and its underlying securities involves substantial risk.   • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Related Experience Previous experience related to the duties associated with the position.

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.
