Previous Experience. 31.01 New employees will be classified according to previous comparable experience for the purpose of establishing wage rates. The Co-operative shall not be required to recognize previous experience of new employees who have not worked in the same or similar business in the past two (2) years. Recognized credit for previous experience shall be applicable to qualifying employees commencing with the first working day following completion of said employee's probationary period.

Previous Experience. Persons who have previously worked for the Employer shall only have their recent service recognized for the purpose of setting their starting rate of pay but such time worked shall not contribute towards the completion of their probationary period. Previous Experience. Nurses shall receive credit for previous related experience on the basis of one annual increment for each year of experience, up to level 8 of the salary schedule. If a period of more than three (3) years has elapsed since the nurse has occupied a nursing position, then the number of increments to be paid, if any, shall be at the discretion of the Employer. The entitlement to the 2% increment for nurses with more than 25 years of experience, effective January 1st, 2007 will be based on a sworn statement of experience submitted by the nurse which includes the previous employers and the approximate date of hire and the last date of employment for each.
