President’s Released Time. In the sole discretion of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the Association president may be released from normal employment duties to conduct Association business, assist in millage elections, etc.

President’s Released Time. An employee who is elected or appointed to serve as President of the Association will be granted released time up to a maximum of full-time release for one (1) year. If the released time is less than full-time, the FPEA President and the District will discuss the arrangements for the released time and reach a mutually satisfactory arrangement. Where possible, the District shall be notified by May 15 preceding the school year in which the released time is to be taken, or within ten (10) days after said President's election or assumption of office, whichever is later. The Association agrees to reimburse the District for all salaries, benefits, and employee taxes for the employee granted such released time. The Association's payment to the District shall be made by June 30 following the released time. The Association President shall remain an employee of the District for the purpose of his/her position on the salary schedule, seniority, retirement, insurance, and other benefits and rights that are afforded the members of the bargaining unit.
President’s Released Time. The Association President shall be released from his/her teaching duties, for the purpose of performing duties as Association President. The President shall be paid on the regular salary schedule and shall be returned to President’s previous teaching position upon completion of the term of office. Should the President leave office at a time other than the end of a school year, the member will be placed in a comparable teaching assignment for the remainder of the school year. The employee will be returned to their previous position at the start of the following school year. The President shall be considered a full-time employee of the school district with respect to the Teachers’ Retirement System, all fringe benefits, seniority, and placement on the salary schedule. The Association shall pay the salary cost up to an amount not to exceed one hundred percent (100%) of the BA 2 salary amount for the assigned replacement member if they are a classroom teacher. If the Association President is in a role which requires a Master’s degree – i.e. a speech pathologist, social worker, etc. – the Association shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the MA 2 salary amount for the assigned replacement member. This provision shall be effective for the duration of this Agreement, and may be extended upon the agreement of both parties.
President’s Released Time. The District agrees to release the Association President from his/her regular assignment up to a full-time basis. The Association shall provide written notice to the District by June 1 of each year regarding how much release time is to be applied. The President shall retain all rights and benefits of this Agreement as a full-time employee. Such release shall be without loss of salary, accrual of seniority, salary advancement, or other rights accorded full-time employees, subject to the Association reimbursing the District the percentage of FTE for release time times the total cost of the President's salary and benefits. Reimbursement shall include such costs as salary, social security, industrial insurance, pension, health and welfare, and other related employer payroll items. Such reimbursement shall be paid monthly upon receipt of a billing by the District. Upon completion of the school year for which released time is taken, the Association President shall be guaranteed his/her original position for the following school year, or a comparable position.

Upon completion of the President’s term, the President shall be reinstated to the same position vacated, if available. If that position is no longer available, the District, in collaboration with the outgoing President, will seek to determine a mutually agreed upon position that does not displace another employee.
President’s Released Time. The Board/Administration shall continue its practice of releasing the President of the Association to meet with district personnel in situations, which, in the opinion of the Board/Administration, warrant immediate attention. PHEA President(s) shall also be granted release time if there is a mutually identified need to address local PHEA concerns or issues. Notification will be given to the administration with as much advance notice as possible.
President’s Released Time. The President of the Federation shall perform his/her regular teaching assignments, however, all non-instructional duties will be suspended during his/her term in office subject to the approval of the Superintendent. Such time will be used for the purpose of improving communication and cooperation among the Federation, the Board, and the public at large. The Federation President will be allowed one (1) day per month free of teaching or supervisory duty to conduct Federation-District liaison work.

Such duties shall not intrude on time allotted to teaching duties. The activities of the Association President during released time shall be consistent with the provisions of Section 2.5. The President shall be paid on the regular salary schedule and shall be returned to President’s previous teaching position upon completion of the term of office. Should the President leave office at a time other than the end of a school year, the member will be placed in a comparable teaching assignment for the remainder of the school year. The Association shall pay the prorated salary cost up to an amount not to exceed fifty percent (50%) of the BA 2 salary amount for the assigned replacement member. This provision shall be effective for the duration of this Agreement, and may be extended upon the agreement of both parties.
President’s Released Time. The Association President, or designee, appointed annually, designated in writing shall be allowed released times, without loss of pay, from assigned duties for the investigation of grievances, handling of grievances and arbitration purposes providing that such released time is approved by the immediate supervisor and counter approved by the Township Business Administrator. It is agreed between both parties that if there is an abuse of the aforementioned released time the Township has the sole right to discontinue this practice for the Association President.

  • Employee Who Acts as Representative Where an employee wishes to represent at a meeting with the Employer, an employee who has presented a grievance, the Employer will, where operational requirements permit, grant leave with pay to the representative when the meeting is held in the headquarters area of such employee and leave without pay when the meeting is held outside the headquarters area of such employee.

  • Field Training Officers The position of Field Training Officer (FTO) shall be held by a Trooper or Sergeant who most closely meets the requirements set forth by the Employer which are outlined in policy OSP-501.08. If the Employer determines there are an insufficient number of qualified volunteers, it may appoint other individuals to be FTOs. The District Commander shall make the final selections. A supplement of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) shall be given to all FTOs for the sixty (60) working day training period. This amount will be prorated in instances where the training period is cut short or lengthened. Field Training Officers and their trainees will be required to work twenty (20) days on each of the three shifts during the training period.
