Presence of a Union Xxxxxxx. Any employee covered by this agreement who is called into the Company’s office for any discussions pertaining to disciplinary or administrative measures or during an investigation by the Loss Prevention department which could result in disciplinary measures for the employee shall have the right, upon request, to be accompanied by a xxxxxxx. Should a xxxxxxx be unavailable, the employee may request the presence of a fellow Union member. The above paragraph will not apply in cases where there is no Union xxxxxxx or other Union member available at the worksite.

Presence of a Union Xxxxxxx. Prior to any discipline, any employee covered by this agreement must meet with an Employer official, for discussions pertaining to disciplinary or administrative measures which could result in discipline for the employee. The employee shall be accompanied by a representative of the Union unless the employee declines such representation. If the employee declines such representation, the employee shall sign a waiver, prior to the discussion. The form will be developed jointly by the Union and the Employer. Upon signature a copy will be provided to the Union.

Presence of a Union Xxxxxxx. Once the Company has concluded a disciplinary investigation and written discipline is to be dispensed to an employee, the Company will advise the employee and the Union that such discipline is forthcoming the next day. The employee may be accompanied by a xxxxxxx at the meeting where the discipline will be dispensed. Where an employee requests the presence of a xxxxxxx, and a xxxxxxx is unavailable, the employee may request the presence of another Union representative.

  • UNION XXXXXXX 9:01 The Union may appoint and the Employer shall recognize a Xxxxxxx for each shop, job or area. The Employer's General Manager shall be notified in writing of the name of the Xxxxxxx when the appointment becomes effective. The Xxxxxxx shall be recognized as the representative of the Union for the shop, job or area in which he/she is working and no discrimination shall be shown against the Xxxxxxx for carrying out his/her Union duties. The Xxxxxxx shall not be laid off, transferred or discharged by reason of executing his/her Union duties and responsibilities as a Xxxxxxx. To be eligible for appointment as a Xxxxxxx, the employee must have been in the employ of the Company for 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the appointment.

  • General Xxxxxxx 9B.01 When a general xxxxxxx is appointed by the employer and/or as required by the collective agreement, they will be paid a minimum premium of fifteen percent (15%) of base rate and holiday and vacation allowance.

When required by Federal program legislation, all prime construction contracts in excess of $2,000 awarded by non-Federal entities must include a provision for compliance with the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act (40 U.S.C. 3141-3144, and 3146-3148) as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5, “Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Covering Federally Financed and Assisted Construction”). In accordance with the statute, contractors must be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, contractors must be required to pay wages not less than once a week. The non-Federal entity must place a copy of the current prevailing wage determination issued by the Department of Labor in each solicitation. The decision to award a contract or subcontract must be conditioned upon the acceptance of the wage determination. The non-Federal entity must report all suspected or reported violations to the Federal awarding agency. The contracts must also include a provision for compliance with the Xxxxxxxx “Anti-Kickback” Act (40 U.S.C. 3145), as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 3, “Contractors and Subcontractors on Public Building or Public Work Financed in Whole or in Part by Loans or Grants from the United States”).
