PREMIUM PAY HOLIDAYS. Overtime (Time-and‐a-Half) Pay for Recognized Holidays: Employees who are assigned on an hourly basis to work on Holidays listed in 16.1 shall receive their regular rate of pay calculated at overtime pay rate of time-and‐a‐half regular pay (1.5X) for hours worked on those days. Open Holiday Pay Shifts Should a regularly assigned employee be requested to work on one of the premium pay holidays listed above and decline that assignment, the Employer shall offer the hours to the most senior qualified employee provided that a client’s specific care needs and preferences are being met.

Open holiday premium pay shifts Should a regularly assigned employee be requested to work on one of the premium pay holidays listed above (a-f), and decline that assignment, the Employer shall offer the hours to the most senior qualified employee who volunteers for the hours. Unpaid Leave Days recognized as a Day for Personal or Religious Observance Employees desiring to take off any of the days listed below shall notify the Employer of their desire to take an unpaid day off two (2) weeks prior to the date. Employees may designate another “personal holiday” referenced in 18.2 as a special day for religious observance or other celebration (for example, such as Rosh Hashanah, Good Friday, the beginning/end of Ramadan, Orthodox Christmas, etc.). As long as the Employer has been given two weeks’ notice, all such requests for one additional unpaid personal holiday a year shall be granted. If an employee from this faith tradition works on any of these recognized observance days, below, s/he shall not be eligible for holiday premium pay.   • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday:

  • Weekend Premium Pay Any nurse who works on a weekend shall receive four dollars ($4.00) per hour premium pay for each hour worked on the weekend in addition to the nurse’s regular rate of pay. Weekend premium pay shall not be included in the nurse’s regular rate of pay for overtime pay calculations, unless required by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The weekend shall be defined as all hours between 11:00 p.m. Friday and 11:00 p. m. Sunday.

  • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Premium Pay “Premium Pay” is a special pay rate for working during times that are less desirable, such as weekends, holidays or late shifts. The City will not pay the Consultant Premium Pay.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Overtime and Premium Pay Section 1. Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times an employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay shall be paid for all work over forty (40) hours in one (1) week.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.
