Premium Holidays. If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).
Premium Holidays. Any employee required to work on a premium holiday (Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), shall be paid at the rate of time plus one-half (1-1/2) for all hours worked on the holiday plus his/her regular pay for the day, unless the employee wishes compensatory time in lieu of the day's pay.

Premium Holidays. (a) Premium holidays are as follows: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Effective upon contract implementation, in continuous operations, New Year’s Day, Independence Day and Christmas shall be celebrated on January 1, July 4 and December 25 respectively, even if these holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday.

Spousal Coverage Any new Participants to the COG, after June 30, 2015, with working spouses who have the ability to be covered under an insurance plan through his/her place of employment, will be required to take his/her plan as their primary plan. This provision does not apply to a participant who had insurance with one COG employer and immediately thereafter, moved to another COG employer. If the spouse is required to pay forty (40%) percent or more of the premium with his/her employer, the requirements of this section shall not apply. Premium Holidays. When the Board receives a premium holiday from their insurance carrier or provider, all employees required to pay a premium percentage (%) will not have to make such payment at that time. The Board will provide the Union with all documentation concerning premium holidays, at their request within three (3) working days.

Premium Holidays. If an employee is required to work on one of the holidays below, or if the holiday is celebrated on one of the employee's regular days off, he/she shall receive eight (8) hours of annual leave and be paid at a rate of time and one-half for each hour actually worked on such holidays; provided, an employee assigned to work ten (10) hour shifts shall receive ten (10) hours of annual leave and be paid at a rate of time and one-half (1/2) for each hour actually worked on such holidays. New Year's Day Thanksgiving Day Memorial Day The Day following Thanksgiving Independence Day Christmas Day Veteran’s Day Employees working their regularly assigned shift on one of the above listed premium holidays will receive time and one-half for each hour worked as described above. Employees working outside of their regularly assigned shift, who would be receiving overtime absent the premium holiday, will receive time and one-half times time and one-half for a total of two and one quarter times (2.25) their regular rate of pay in accordance with past practice.
