Common use of Preliminary Notice Clause in Contracts

Preliminary Notice. When the District intends not to renew a teacher's contract, the District will inform the teacher of the fact that continued employment is in question and of the reasons thereof at least one month before issuing the nonrenewal notice. The teacher will be given an opportunity to correct any deficiencies which precipitated possible nonrenewal.
