Xxxx Xxxxxxx – ENGEO will complete preliminary design geotechnical analyses (through-seepage, underseepage and land side slope stability), and prepare a construction cost estimate for the preferred project alignment. The project team will prepare a draft 65% project design building on the preferred project alignment.
Preliminary Engineering and Design. TRLIA and the consultant team held 2 project team meetings and a number of smaller coordination calls focusing on the finalizing the 65% design plans, specifications, and basis of design documentation. More specifically, the consultant team completed the following tasks: - 65% Design Planset - Revised 65% Cost Estimate - Draft Geotechnical Basis of Design Report - Draft Hydraulic Impact Analysis Report
Preliminary Engineering and Design. TRLIA and the consultant team held 3 project team meetings and several smaller coordination calls focusing on geotechnical data collection, alternative alignment analysis, right of entry, and basis of design. More specifically the consultant team completed the following tasks: - Develop Design Water Surface Elevation (DWSE): For consistency with the NTW Phase 1 Project, MBK Engineers in coordination with the project team, determined that a DWSE (200yr+2ft) would be used in the project design. Additionally, the top of structure for the NTW Phase 2 project will be designed to include 3 feet of freeboard above the DWSE. The DWSE will be documented in a technical memorandum prepared by MBK Engineers.

More specifically the consultant team completed the following tasks: - 65% Design Planset - Revised 65% Cost Estimate - Draft Geotechnical Basis of Design Report - Draft Hydraulic Impact Analysis Report - Right of Way Needs Assessment Exhibit Task 3: Environmental Surveys and Compliance (CEQA): GEI completed preparation of an administrative draft Initial Study with Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS-MND) and has circulated the draft to the project team for review. This effort also included development of feasibility level mitigation costs for project impacts to the low-flow channel and surrounding habitat which included existing elderberry shrubs. Task 4: Evaluate Current and Future Grant Funding Opportunities: TRLIA and the project team continued collaborative efforts to identify and assess funding opportunities to complete design and construction of the NTW Phase 2 Project. No grant funding opportunities were identified during Q3 2022.

Specifically, the consultant team completed the following tasks: - 65% Design Planset (Revised per Xxxxxxxx-Xxxxxx Irrigation District Comment) - Revised 65% Cost Estimate - Draft Geotechnical Basis of Design Report - Draft Hydraulic Impact Analysis Report - Right-of-Way Needs Assessment Exhibit The project team submitted a Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) Encroachment Permit Application in November 2022. An incomplete letter was received from the CVFPB requesting additional supporting information. The project team provided additional supporting information in response to the letter and is currently coordinating with the TRLIA Board for endorsement of the encroachment permit application.
Preliminary Engineering and Design. During Q2 2023 it is anticipated that TRLIA and the Project Team will finalize the 65% project design and associated documents (Basis of Design Report). The project team will respond to SAR comments received and advance the project design towards the 90% milestone. The project team will coordinate with BRI and CTA to prepare acquisition packages for lands and easements required for project construction. Additionally, TRLIA will continue to evaluate options for acquisition of easements and fee title ownership in the event landowner agreements cannot be reached.
