Pregnancy Leave/Parental Leave/Adoption Leave. (a) Pregnancy and Parental Leave

Pregnancy Leave/Parental Leave/Adoption Leave. Leave of absence without pay for pregnancy, parental, adoption leave shall be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Such leave will not affect sick leave entitlement or seniority. All such leave of absence requests shall be, in writing, and shall show the last day to be worked and the expected date of return to work.
Pregnancy Leave/Parental Leave/Adoption Leave. (a) An employee with thirteen (13) weeks or more continuous service with the Employer shall be entitled to fifty-two (52) weeks, effective January 1st, 2001, of pregnancy leave without pay in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Notwithstanding any other provision of this agreement, during the leave the nurse will accumulate service and seniority and the Employer shall continue the collective agreement provisions respecting benefit entitlements as per the requirements under the act. At the conclusion of the leave the nurse shall be reinstated in her former position if it exists or to a comparable position if it does not.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Maternity Leave/Parental Leave Adoption Leave (Effective for maternity and/or parental leaves that commenced before May 1, 2019)

  • Maternity/Adoption/Parental Leave a) In accordance with the Saskatchewan Employment Act an employee shall be granted maternity, adoption, and/or parental leave of absence without pay.

  • Maternity/Adoption Leave An employee who is pregnant and who has three (3) months or more of continuous service with the Company shall be granted leave of absence under the terms and conditions of the Employment Standards Act except as herein otherwise provided:

  • Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave An Employee who is expecting the birth or adoption of a child shall be entitled to maternity/paternity/adoption leave without pay, provided she presents a medical certificate confirming the probable date of confinement, or in the case of adoption, gives the Employer notice of eligibility. Except in extenuating circumstances, the notice shall be submitted in writing at least twenty-eight (28) days in advance of the leave and shall specify the probable date of commencement and the anticipated length of leave. The following conditions shall apply:

  • Maternity/Parental Leave The term of the temporary posting shall be for the term of the illness or maternity/parental leave but shall not exceed eighteen (18) continuous months.

  • Maternity/Parental/Adoption Leave Maternity/Parental/Adoption leave shall be granted as a right as per the Employment Standards Act.

  • Maternity Leave and Parental Leave 8.9.1.1 For the benefits of the Employment Standards Act to apply during the statutory periods set out by the Act, employees must ensure that the appropriate certificate indicated in that Act is signed by a duly qualified medical practitioner and submitted to the appropriate Xxxx or Director.

  • Parental Leave of Absence A. A female unit member may use any or all accumulated leave during pre- and post-natal care for that period of time she is temporarily disabled, as determined by the unit member and her physician.

  • Pregnancy/Parental/Adoption Leave Pregnancy Leave will be in accordance with the current Employment Standards Act (Pregnancy and Parental Leave) at the time of application. (See Appendix A)
